Pours black and viscous with a thin, light brown head that hints at over-carbonation for a stout. Smells of dark toffee and a bit of pine perhaps. Carbonation up front on sip, but gives way quickly to thick body. Strong alcohol flavoring with hints of raisin or prune and chocolate malt. Well balanced. Carbonation does come in a bit at the end. No bitterness in the finish. Taste lingers well on the tongue for several seconds after.
